(Check back often for updates)
Fishing! Montana Creek is a well-known stream for catching king and silver salmon and a best-kept secret for trout fly fishermen. We sell and rent all the tackle you will need, and our staff will tell you where and how to be most successful. Visit our very eclectic store for gifts, groceries, snacks, new and used books, tackle, ice, firewood. Bird watch; you may see eagles feeding from the stream or watching from the big cottonwood trees. Stroll our forest trails looking for wildflowers and berries or visit our own flower gardens. Be sure to allow enough time for a spectacular flight-seeing trip of Mt. McKinley; it may be the highlight of your trip to Alaska. Visit the nearby historical gold-mining town of Talkeetna, go river boating, or dog sledding. There is plenty to do in our area! Please visit our website for more information.
